Chris Edwards brings over 20 years of experience in electrical contracting, construction, and complex project delivery. He began his career at 16 with a JIB apprenticeship at Robinson Electrical, before moving on to manage new build sites for major developers like Barratt Homes. At just 22, Chris led an employee buyout of Paul Hobbs Electrical, significantly growing the business and launching Burnham Green Energy along the way.
As the housing market shifted, Chris turned his attention to the care and hospitality sectors, founding Swan United Services. The business experienced rapid growth and was later acquired by RGB Group, where Chris became M&E Director.
Chris has successfully led a number of high-profile projects across London and the South East, including residential conversions, hotel refurbishments and fit-outs in live operational environments – often in logistically complex and highly regulated settings.
In 2023, Chris joined Simple Group as Director of Construction & M&E, bringing his entrepreneurial mindset, technical expertise and delivery-focused approach to the team. His deep understanding of both the construction and mechanical-electrical sides of the industry allows him to guide projects from concept to completion with clarity and control.
Chris shares Simple Group’s ethos of removing unnecessary complexity and creating straightforward, transparent client experiences. With a focus on quality, accountability, and building trusted relationships, he plays a key role in driving Simple Group’s mission to deliver smarter, simpler solutions across every project.
