Our client approached us to design supply and commission (with our client carrying out the installation works) the Evacuation Alert System for the High Rise Residential Development, that under the building safety act is classed as a higher risk building (HRB). Timescales were always tight from the outset and it was envisaged that from the outset that the main control panels and the high security enclosures that house the controls would be close to client deadlines. Instead of undertaking a more traditional and less efficient approach of carrying out programming on site all programming was carried out off site, with all devices and equipment being sent to site pre addressed along with drawings showing the exact location of the pre addressed equipment making it simple for the installers and saving precious time for the commissioning process.

Given the long lead times associated with the high security enclosures for the controls the system was commissioned and tested on temporary controls, which was then changed onto the permanent controls as soon as they were delivered. – project timescales met and another happy customer.
