BMS Field Services Engineer (Trend & Tridium) – All Levels Considered

About The Role:

Join our growing field-services team and play a hands-on part in keeping clients’ Building Management Systems (BMS) running at peak performance. You will install, commission, maintain and optimise Trend and Tridium platforms across commercial, industrial and residential sites. Junior, mid-level and senior applicants are all welcome; training and mentoring are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on Trend and Tridium BMS installations.
  • Commission new controllers, networks and front-end graphics; fine-tune set-points and strategies.
  • Diagnose faults quickly, implement fixes, and document all work in service reports.
  • Upload/download controller software, back up databases and maintain version control.
  • Support energy-saving upgrades by adjusting schedules, logic and analytics dashboards.
  • Liaise with site managers, contractors and end-users, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and relevant standards at all times.

What You Will Bring:

  • Practical experience with Trend or Tridium (Niagara) systems — from basic I/O checks to full project commissioning.
  • Good understanding of HVAC plant, field devices and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to read control schematics and interpret sequence-of-operation documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Extras We Value But Can Teach:

  • BACnet, Modbus or other open-protocol skills.
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, HNC, etc.).
  • CSCS / ECS card and current safety certificates.
